46 Gallon Bow Front... Finally Starting To Be Pieced Together.

I really need to stop going to the pet store with money in my pocket. Took a trip out to a store about an hour and a bit away from home that I know is good for both fish and prices on equipment. Ended up leaving $120 later.... with a Filter, Heater, and a couple new fish for my 15 gallon (A pair of Dwarf Gourami [1 male, 1 female] and two VERY young Otocinclus Affinis to add to the pair I added a couple days ago.)

The bow front is currently sitting in the middle of my living room (as the 15 gallon needs to be relocated before it can be moved into place.
Dimensions on the tank are 36" long, 16.25 wide (at it's widest part) and 20" tall.

I'm planning on a pool-filter sand substrate, with an Aquaclear 70 + Aquaclear 20 filter. Picked up a 150 watt Eheim Jager heater.

I plan to try my hand with real plants this time.... Any suggestions on easy plants to grow? (No CO2)

Still not sure what I'm going to stock in it.... Any suggestions on this? We're thinking a community is the way we want to go... something eye-catching.

Could I run the filters for this tank on my established tanks in the house to get them set up with the beneficial bacteria needed? How long would they need to run on the established tanks?.

crypts, java fern java moss, hygrophillias. You can grow with very little light at all. I grow all of these with a 15w t8 over a 25g tall tank and the grow like crazy.

You can be pretty sure that what you can buy in the pet store will grow in you tank.

How much light have you got?

No idea on what type of lighting that is, but maybe you understand it and can explain it?

the wattage of the light should be written on the tube. or if u have the box for the tube it should be on that

I got the tank used. So I don't have the box. What I wrote (the Eclipse thing) was what was written on the light bulb in there.
