Cherub angels would be good in a 30 gallon. I used to have one in my 30 until I upgraded to a 70 gallon. They are not shy at all, in fact they may be the most aggressive fish you'd want to introduce. They really only go after fish that resemble their shape though. Also try to introduce it as the last fish so that any other fish you have will have claimed their territories already. They swim around a lot, usually grazing on rocks, the substrate, and the glass, looking for food. They really only hide when it's lights out so that they're protected in their sleep.

I have never read a positive post about owning a hawkfish, especially in a nano. I would avoid them if possible. SH

You haven't read my journel then :p however agree that in a nano a hawk might not be the best bet. i have a lovely red hawk but he does eat my small snails  but he certainly is not territorial or aggressive to other fish, he hasnt touched my shrimp either, but I did ensure I bought big-uns

yep, this is my continuation on the flame hawk lovers :D . Mine is full of personality, wherever you walk by his spiderman like eyes follow you and his chubby-ness always gets me happy  . Never nipped at my snails nor hermits and not territorial whatsoever. The only con about my flame hawk is that it eats too much haha, it always steals food from the sun coral, it somehow learned that whenever i stick a turkey baster into the water, it knows that the area where my sun coral is = to free brine shrimp.
