hey guys,im on the hunt for a 3ft tank, however I cant find "the one" however, I have found many without hoods so my question is could I cut the sides off my 2ft hood to fit the 3ft tank? ben

Or think about a lid-free tank? I'm constantly on the look out for something 200L+, and like yourself have found endless bargains with no lid. Talking Mrs.Apple into suspending lighting from the ceiling is another matter though

Terry.

haha terry im with you, all my mrs says is "what do you want a bigger one for" haha. If it would work temporarily then id do it simply for the lighting :)

You could always just start off a lidless tank with a 3-foot condensation from the likes of Pets At Home, to prevent any "jumpers." There used to be some great deals on Ebay for trays, but they seem to vanished since two years ago, when I got a batch for my 5x2x2... Wish I had got a load now in hindsight, to have as spares!

lol I love this, you're not even done cycling your first tank! You've got it baaad.

The real question is, will you keep both tanks???

mmmmmmm now almost awesome youve given me an idea haha. no i better not i get in trouble with just one tank!

apparently its a waste of money, a waste of time, fish are stupid and im sad!!

Aww just wait until everything is up and running properly she'll come round i promise! My hubby enjoys the tank and the fish but doesnt really get all the time i put into it and he definitely didn't have any time for the whole cycling thing lol. It is expensive when you're first getting set up but after that it isn't too bad.

why dont you make one, i did for my 3ft tank.......and i'm just a simple housewife
