I am currently trying to talk my husband into letting me get another tank.

I have my eye on a Aqua One, 3ft, 215lt (57gl) tank with stand included which is colour matched (black). It looks really good.

My LFS have them on special for AU$650, instead of RRP AU$999, so I thought its a bargain and I have a place to put it etc, its just talking him into letting me (he thinks I have to much on my plate with a toddler, baby nearly due, 2 dogs, a cat and my current fish).

Anyway, with that size tank and water capacity, what kind of fish could I add? Its quite a tall tank.

I was thinking of like a species tank with maybe a beautiful pleco, but I just dont know, but I want to have an idea before I decide to purchase it.

I currently have a 15gl tank with 2 guppies, guppy fry, BN, dwarf gourami, blue ram and a cory.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

how about rainbow fish. Not much to look at when young but colours are great when older

Why not start by shifting about half the fish in your sig into it, you have way too much for a 15G.

At the Large Boronia Aquarium I bought my 75 gallon with stand for $240 and spent $540 all up for the full set up that includes the most expensive filter but it's quality (eheim 2213)

the guy Brad who works their did a deal for me so if you go their see if they will give a deal

Was it a plain glass tank, or one with a hood and stuff??

I agree - I'd move the bristlenose and the ram out of there, they would appreciate the extra room. Then you might have space for some cory companions for the one being kept on his own. They need to be in a minimum of groups of three (same species - not different types). Although I wouldn't go over three in there.

Although it is possible for a bristlenose to be in a 15g, it's probably not what's best for them. They have the potential to reach up to 6", and as most plecs do - they make a lot of mess, so will be too much in the long run for a 15g to cope with. They're also very active plecs, so the extra space IMO is necessary. I've got a 15g, and I'm plec mad, with three BNs, but wouldn't dream of putting on in there permanently. Hospital tank yep, quarantine yep, but not permanently.

Did have 3 corys, 2 died, so I have been left with the 1 for a week now, he will be getting more friends. He is very active and doing fine though.
