ok update tank stats are roughly the same so farso no prbs there

ok so instead of going downstairs and decribing what ive been dosing that is imporving things so far i opted to try and find the 1 post i made 3 million years ago about it, ended up looking at pics of the 20G in california and all i could do was cringe lol i miss the xenia tho.

so yeah what ive been dosing everyother day was Fuel by aquavitro and its helping the GSP recover

GSP is recovering because apparently the white snail is in fact a coral munching heathen he should come out today and when he does hes going to take a trip to the otuside lol.

everything else is well but the main mushy rock isnt expanding all the way for some reason.



also might pik up a little something over the weekend

sooo the nerite snail is now know as steve and i will be getting a wittle 2" powder brown when the time comes

ps, the bad snail usually shows up on tuesdays and thursdays but hasnt shown up so far, think he bugged my room lol

and i also fragged one of the green zoos and the original color is returning to it which is nice

and yeah ive been looking around for adult bangaii cardinals for the larger tank, since its happening anyway and the fact im doing 50% wc weekly and the fact everything is doing splendid (albeit i have no difficult corals and only 1 gsp frag is not responding to its new home) i figured why not just get 1 for now and possibly the other for later?

my figuring for the finding of adults is because apparently only adults are eligible for sexing (in theory) so if i can sex it then it most likely is an adult lol

thing is the pair the closer LFS has is not for sale (didnt bother to ask since they were in a display tank) and ill call em tomorrow to see if they have any and or next shipment

also will check out the other store for any cardinals as well tomorrow



lastly im also itching for a new coral and i think that might be literal since im getting a small rash best excuse ever i think. i really want xenia again (something about that pulsing just makes me go ) but for some reason noone freaking sells it! all other corals i want i cant get right now since they are LPS SPS and the fact that the closer LFS charges 50$ for 3 glove polyps, rather order off of internet except shipping is too dam high and ill have to order from seperate sites meaning more $$$$ *SIGH*

im going to calculate which site will offer me the best yield for 1 go and idk well see what happens

she ate today so no problems despite my cousin tapping the glass like in finding nemo D:

and yeah lol my tank is doing OK i need xenia on the top right and neon pineapple tree coral underneath the left powerhead, shift some frags around and then ill let it settle lol, at leas till i get the larger tank


also going to be imitating stephs idea of making custom LR but mine are more like cones sorta to allow for maximum placement of coral and more sand space for stuff i dont know about lol

also will try and minimize dead spots by making 2 to curve out the back corners of the tank

lol and behold come christmas day that coral eating snail surrendered, and is now outside in the snow

also to come with christmas day is another important decision which ill put as a poll on here as well as my planted tank thread and the combined thread in the aquarium section.

the question, i recieved 110$ for christmas overall, now, 3 options on what to do with it, as i dont care what happens to it right now lol

1. buy the rest of my plants for planted tank, involves some waiting in the bank till current plants bounce back

2. corals corals corals corals corals corals

3. put it in savings and forget i ever had it

anything leftover from one and two automagically goes to savings

also, tank is good and the bangaii is awseome as heck! such a nice fish lol but shes not eating enough i think so im going to buy the tank that donya has for her hermits and use that to raise brine shrimp. 3 Qs

my LFS let people take home 50lb boxes of LR for 3.99 a lb, the condition is that the rock is fresh shipped and you get what you get so no trading, still a very nice deal lol, im thinking of getting one box and then selecting a few nice pieces for the last 20lbs, my parents dont want a cement mess so LR it is lol

and dad also doesnt want an RO unit so that means lugging 18+ 5 gallon kegs to and from the store


picking up the canopy today as well as ordering brine shrimp cysts and maybe xenia (if they can order it)

i have enough money to order both my plants and my corals, but now its more of, what corals do i get?

site1: red,purple, and green florida mushrooms, green palythoas, metallic green/blue zoos, blue zoanthids and gold zoanthids

or 10 pack of differently colored saint thomas mushrooms, and the zoanthids

site2: chili coral,tree coral, xenia ( ill have to wait 2 weeks to get enough money)

or i can wait a few weeks and pick up on site 2

chili coral, tree coral, xenia, green polyped birdnest, purple polyped green birdnest, green duncan coral, and stylophora


these are the options i can mull over but ill eventually pcik all of them up, i just need a starting point lol

haven't been around much lately, glad to see you finally have your tank and bigger than expected.
Coral wise: What is this "tree" coral you speak of? Chili needs to be fed everyday, be prepared for that if you go that way.

indeed people have been wondering where youve been

btw the second website is liveaquaria and the tree coral in question is the neon pineapple tree coral in the aquacultured soft coral section, it does say that it needs to be fed aswell but i dont mind as weve already got the marine snow and cyclopeez and hopefully soon brineshrimp.

i think what im going to do is collect the stuff off of site one first, maybe pick up a small bubble or hammer coral for my first LPS then go all out and order the stuff off live aquaria and then collect bits and pieces later.



tbh im skeptical with making the jump but im sure ill have no trouble unless i manage to kill xenia again or my GSP then i might be nervous hahaha
