Maybe they could order some? I wouldn't put regular size cory cats in there. Not even one or two, because they are shoaling fish and would be lonely. I think my particular male betta would harass corys in a five gallon tank, but yours may have a different temperament.

2 regular cories will be fine, I have 2 in the 55 in my sig and have had them for a few years. 2 is fine. My betta attacks plastic lego figures :crazy: (don't ask) so I'll keep an eye on them if I get them
 
Look for dwarfs they act the same and look the same but smaller and they will be alot healthier.
