2 Gallon Tank Heater Question

Hello everyone,
I am considering getting a 2 gallon tank.. I would like to get a heater for it as my house can get pretty cold at night and I want to keep the temp in the tank stable. I found a 7.5 watt mini heater at a LFS. Would that be ok for this small of a tank? The people at the LFS say it is OK but I have gotten some bad advice from them in the past and thought I would ask here first..

It should be fine. General rule of thumb is wattage should be at least 3x the tank size so you would be covered.
