Alright, so I've got a 2.5gallon tank and I want to keep something in it BESIDES A BETTA! I was thinking of a few bumble bee gobies, but I just read online that they need a tank of atleast 20gallons. Any other ideas for small fish? I've tried Endlers, didn't like them too much, I was thinking mabye a couple guppies (same sex)?? I'm not much of a shrimp fan and I don't really have the patients for DPs... What can I keep in this tank??

Unfortunately 2.5 galls is too small for all but a single betta, or maybe a shrimp tank. I know what you don't want. You could keep a single apple/mystery snail, or some of the smaller snails. Or an african dwarf frog or two. You just can't do much with a tank that small.

Or, if you are truly dedicated (or insane) and up to the challenge. I think you can do a reef picotope, but you'll have to check with the folks in the marine nano section to be sure.

Dwarf frogs? Triops? Planted nano? Maybe even be adventurous and try a pico reef?

I don't think guppies would appreciate that size of tank, maybe like 2 male endlers would be OK but even then more space to swim would certainly be appreciated I wouldn't recommend it.

There's tonnes of different fish you could put in there, availability is the problem.
Dunno if you can order stuff from here: http://www.franksaquarium.com/nanofish.htm.

The tank is too small for endlers or guppys.

IMHO At the end of the day you need to face up to the fact that there isn't much else you can put in such a small tank other than a betta. Shrimp and snails are your main options, you might be able to have a dwarf puffer in the tank though if it is well planted.

IMO no fish should be kept in a 2.5g not even a betta. Try shrimp or maybe a single apple snail, or plant it out and turn it into a little aquascape with a few cherry shrimp.

If no fish should be kept in a tank that size then why would I keep anything else in it cuticom?

Thanks for the advice three-fingers. That may help ^_^

hmm, unfortunatly it seems asthough it may be a Betta after all...

Oh and in regards to the pico reef, I've already had a nano, and now I've got a 72gallon reef. I don't want another one lol, too much algea *ugh*
