2.5 Gallon Stocking?

I was looking for some suggestion for stocking a 2.5 gallon that I was hoping to put on my desk. I have a small HOB filter for it, not sure of the brand name though. Anyway I was thinking either a male Betta or a trio of Endlers ( just have to keep an eye on the fry population, but I have other tanks to transfer any fry to ). Any other options?

Agree with truck Good list of pico fish, also to add you could have shrimp in there as an alternative to fish.

a male betta with like 3 ghost shrimp and a snail would be cool. if you wanna try this add the shrimp and snail a few days before the betta. if they're added after the betta will almost definitely hate and attack all of them. you'd need a well decorated tank too.
