I'm having an issue with my 10gallon that I have setup in my son's room.
The temperature with the lights off is about 80f. With lights on is 82f. I don't understand why it's getting so hot?
I have the lights on a timer to be on from 3pm - 9pm. There is no heater in the tank (took it out to figure out the temp issue)
The tank is only a week old (no livestock).
The temperature in the room is about 75f (air conditioner).
Should I look at installing fans under the hood? Any other ideas on how to get the temperature down? Or is 82f an ok temperature to run at? I haven't ran FW tanks in about 15 years, only SW.
