Hi everyone.

I might start 1 of these in a few months and i need a little informaiton.

here are my Q's.

1.Do you have to keep the lights on when all day if you have coral in the tank?

2.How long do you cycle them? and with coral?

3.What kind of fish could you have?

4.Are BioCubes good nano tanks?

5.What kind of food?

6.Do the people at the LFS help you pick out salt and stuff?

7.Should it be in sunlight or in the shade?

8.could i see some of your guys tanks?

Thanks:Garett

:hi:

1) No. A reef tank has lights on about 12 hours
2) Cycling varies from almost nothing if you have cured rock to 1,2,3 or more if uncured
3) Not more than 1-3 in a 10 gallon and small ones at that
4) Personal call. Not my favorite. One of the best tanks you can get is a 20G long.
5) Same as FW. Dry, pellet, live, frozen. Depends on what you want to keep in the tank
6) We here do a better job
7) Neither. It should be in a room away from the window.
8) Check out the marine journal section link under Marine Chat in this section.

Ok thanks sorry it took solong for me to get back to you.

So on a scale of 1 to 10
How would you grade a nano tank?
6

Ok cause i might get a 12 g nano cube . but ill have to save a ton of money.
if i did get a 12g this would be my stocking.

1 six line wrasse
3 green chromis

Would that be a good stocking?

Would it be cheaper to set my FW 10g up as a saltwater tank?

How much do you think it would cost to do that???

Thanks
