The eel was very quick but more opportunist, it was my rainbows that were the worst for having krib fry for lunch.

I agree, apistos would be a lovely choice.

The idea is to break up lines of sight (for the fish) to minimise the likelihood of the kribs attacking other fish. With a big wide open space like that then they are almost certain to see other fish as a near constant threat.

i can see where ur comin from, just a quick question would the cherry barbs attack the fry like your big eel that was in the background of the picture? or would it be nothin compared to that

Any dither would really attack the fry. I would move the fry when they get larger. Do you already have the kirbs? Apistogramma would be a better choice IMO.

should this reason stop me from getting dithers? Im getting a small betta lifespace tank for the fry. No they are being ordered. Apistos are nice but i would prefer P.pulchers (kribs)

I would say no dithers, apisto would handle dithers.I fyou move the fry quick enough into a big enough tank, you could have some dithers.

what about,

6 black neons, 6 H.Rasboras & kribensis pair

will the kribs be ok with these & will the tank be overstocked

I don't know if dithers are a good idea if you don't have a large enough tank for the fry. This stocking is fine, and then add a bristlenose. As long as you have a growout tank.

If they fry are not present? I know that kribs are agressive during mating, but not that agressive!
