Strong current

Hi guys
At certain places in my tank the current seems qwite strong and the fishes have to swim slightly harder to get whare they wanna go. now the bloke at pets at home said this was a good thing as it will make my fish stronger is this true.

it could be true to some fish but most it could leed to stress, i suggest either turning down your filters flow (if possible) of looking into a trickle filter.

Thinking about it could be try. Makes them work out more. im not really sure though. I also have somewhat of a strong current and my fish are fine.
