So I started breeding mystery snails a little while ago. I got home from work tonight and encountered a horrific sight. They was this ugly thing sticking to the top of the tank. Turns out it is a snail WITHOUT A SHELL. There aren't any empty shells around that I noticed, and it is very much still alive in the tank.
Has anything like this happened to another member, or have you hear about it happening? My others all have good, sturdy shells. I add calcium blocks for turtles and cuttlebone and gh/kh minerals at water change.
Does the snail need any special care? At the beginning of next month all of the snails (as well as my glo fish) will be moving to a 30 gallon tank, do I need to keep this, well, slug submerged since he has no shell?
