WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?!?! :.. ( I wasn't watching what I was doing while I was syphoning out the little fry tank attachment thing and I sucked up the little guy with the spot (pictured above, middle photo) and spit him out into the 29 where I saw him get eaten in half a second. Before my eyes! I'm so sorry I suck! Lol. Pleas e forgive me little fishy. I truely wanted nothing but the best for you.

my basement has flooded, things have been a mass. Finally got my 29 gallon set up upstairs. The water is clear now but when I took these pictures it was still a little unsettled from disturbing the gravel and what have you. The pictures kind of sucks but the kind of don't. Enjoy!

Two young females. Ones a bit brassy colored with reflective scales undernesth a thinner black body stripe. The other is a light bright orange with dark shading on edges of fins.

All of the platies above are high fins. Here are two newly found additions found in the high fin tank! Will they also be high fins Hrmmm. We'll see. Kind if looks like yin and yang

I love the male with the spotting. I had hi fins when I first started the hobby, the contrast of the fins to the body colour can be quite striking!
The first pic of the fry is awesome! He's looking straight at you!

Its been 10 days since I found the above 2 fry. Ots safe to say that YES THEY ARE HIGH FINS! OMG OMG SO EXCITED!!!

Wow! Look at calypsos markings! and look at eclipse they are going to be stunning! I can't wait to watch them grow! Congrats again!

Thank you! Calypso is definitely getting more spotty as time goes by and EClipse looks all black...no idea where that came from but that would be splendid.


They both look to be females in my opinion. Which is great, because who likes males anyways? Lolol. .


Update should follow on these two in another 10 or so days when they get released into the tank

Seen a fry while glancing at my tank and tried to catch it. I fsiled and it disappeared. I did a water change yesterday and saw it again! Tried to catch it and list it...AGAIN!


just now I was watching my highfin tank and I seent it! Juat lazily grazing about the tops of my plants all ballsy and what have you. It probably was doing just fine with the adults but I found it necessary to catch it and combine it with Eclipse and Calypso. It didn't try to franticly get away and just kinda chilled while I netted it. Its wee bit smaller than the other two and doesn't seem to have any greay coloring to it as of yet or even a highfin . But we'll see. Its settling in just fine with the other two, nestling in to the java moss.

Perhaps I will release them all sooner than I had planned. But but...the baby tank is so nice for pixtures! Lol.

Definitely needed to catch it since its stick thin and the other two have pot bellies! Time to fatgen you up and get you healthy and robust lil thing you!

Would you just look at this photo?! JUST LOOK AT IT! Its a friggin gorgeous photo, yea? Could have been fish of the month material if her face wasn't a bit covered. But dang that's one nice photo! Of course I got it trying to take a pic of a different fish. Thats just how it goes.

This was the fish I was trying to take a photo of. She's square as all get out! I want those babes. How many days do you think? I'm awful at predicting...
