My male guppy is trying to mate my female platies. Is this normal. is it possible. Now my male platy is fighting w/ my male guppy over the females.
1 male guppy 1 female guppy 1 male platy 3 female platy

Nope it is not possible for them to intrerbreed, they are just too genetically different. To reduce the fighting I'd suggest you buy another 1 or two guppy females (if you have room in your tank) the ratio for livebearers as a general rule should always be 1 male to 2 or 3 females
