i have the opportunity to get a zebra pleco for 30 US dollars. I would love to put it in my discus tank. Its a barebottom tank with a piece of driftwood in it. Would the pleco be ok? i dont have high current...but he will get lots of special attention seeing how i baby those fish anyways. Thanks for you help

You have the right companions in Discus as they will happily live in the higher temps and soft slightly acidic water that the Zebras love. However I am not sure about the bare bottom tank, and your tank dosen't seem to have much shelter which is very important to these guys who will often spend the day resting in a cave. They are also socail fish that should be kept in a group.

Wish there were that many around!!

I agree with ryan, the bare bottom tank could be a problem IMO but if you are willing to change or there is a way round it I'd snap him up!! Especially for that price, £20ish isn't much for one of these guys that if available are about £60+!
