I have 10 Zebra Danios but one of them looks quite a bit different. I assume it's a male but his colouration is far more striking than the other Danios. His tail fin pattern is also very different. He tends not to swim with the other Danios and he can be quite aggressive.

Any info would be very much appreciated.

I saw some Zebra danio's like that online the other day. They classed them as Premium Zebra danio's i think. They look like a cross breed. Zebra danio mixed with a golden Zebra danio.

Not saying this is the case here but it looks similar :)

I have something simliar with my 8 Albino cory tho. 4 look totally different in colour and size to the other 4 but they are the same specie.

Thanks for the replies guys. It appears that my unusual Danio is either a cross breed or just a colour morph of some description.

Zebe's have been around since Moby Dick was a guppy. The Leopard Danio is a mutant Zebe. I would just be happy to have him. He is quite a striking looking specimen. Is it possible that Merlin the magician has taken up residence in your castle and enchanted your Zebras ?
