Most of you are saying the fish that you have had the LONGEST are your favorite. (except Claire, whom I can tell is still "giggly" over her altum. I would be too.)
My favorite fish (plural) are my newest. I finally managed to get the eggs to hatch from my two breeding angelfish. They will eat them if the eggs are left with them. And for the first 6 months when I tried to remove the eggs and hatch them separately they never hatched. The most recent try actually hatched and are now free swimming. I have 6 teesie, tiny babies angels that are about the size of...let me think...earring piercing studs...1/4 carat diamonds...the O on the back of a penny where is says "ONE CENT"...those little seeds that float in "Bread and Butter" pickles...You get the idea.
It might have something to do with having to stringently keep their tank clean and feed them live food every two hours or so. It is like when my daughters were born. Could be some trandferred maternal instinct, since I won't be having any more human babies.
They are so young they don't even look like angelfish yet.
