Young ospreys trying out their wings

Saw this on tonight's walk. I'm guessing this was their first flight, and they appeared to be very excited about this new development. I've never heard ospreys being this vocal before, and I've never seen this many in one place.

Very cool! Could you ID the small birds trying to get out of their way? Not that osprey are bird hunters, just curious

I always love to watch such sights... And yes, it always seems that young birds that are first timers in flying just enjoy the flight without any other interest at that moment. When I was still residing in Canada, I always enjoyed to watch those young eagles flying in circles...

Hm, I'm not sure what you mean. I didn't see any smaller birds, just the ospreys.

Oh, I thought some of those birds looked smaller than the ospreys. My bad, I blame my old glasses for lack of focusing & distance, sorry
