right he is about 4 months old, he has built bubble nests in his barracks but he never flairs at the other males. I now have him in with a female and again he is takin no notice of her what so ever, no bum wiggling nothing and he has not built a nest either. Are some males just not breedable? or is there some thing i need to do to get him going?

How long have the male and female been together? Sometimes it takes them awhile and while I'm surprised he isn't showing much aggression, it does happen sometimes. I have had one that just didn't act interested. If they are still together, watch them closely because he could (and probably will) eventually become interested or turn on her. I would take them out and prep them for breeding if that's what you want to do. How large is the tank they were/are in?

They have been conditioned ready far spawning. His home was 3gal she was in my community but moved her to a 3gal to condition now they are in a 5gal spawning tank, wel she in in the chimny. the water is heated and clean. They have been in the spawning tank for 4 days and both are eating

Well i threatened him and the next day he had made a beautifal nest she barred up so i let her out and as of yesterday i have eggs

No i did try them together but he didn't keep up the nest and lost the eggs so on my next spawn i will try them again. This is my greeny copper male in my sig and the platinum HM female bluey. should get some good colours

Wooohoooo, well he did it and now i have babies!!!!

i didn't think he would get this far but the eggs were fertile and the babies have hatched and now he is up and down picking them up i'm so chuffed
