Hey guys!

Me and my girlfriend recently tried mating our two Ancistrus and it worked wonderfully, there were around 30-35 eggs and all of them survived. Now they are about 6 weeks old and thriving. They love eating the zucchinis that we give them on almost a regular basis. Now I wondered what experience you have with these lovely fishes and what kind of food you give the young ones!

Here is a video of them on one of their feeding frenzies -

I hope you like it!

They eat the same things as adults. Over the years I have gotten well over 1,500 bn fry.

My breeding pair of adult ancistrus are partial to bloodworm, live if possible or frozen cubes if not. Trying to encourage my youngsters to eat the same as their parents.

Apart from that, my youngsters eat pretty much the same as the adults - TetraMin dried foods seem to be easily digestible by the youngsters and popular with the adults too.

Thanks for posting that great video. They really look like they are enjoying their meal!
