Yet Another Question About Leathers

ive had 1 leather for about 2 months now and it was doing really well. i decided to move it about 3 inches accross the tank, since ive moved it none of the pollups have come out and its shrunk and has been all grey for 4 days??
does this mean that its dead? should i take it out?
i also have another leather and only half the pollups have come out on that aswell?? odd??
every thing else is alright,fish,anemenoes,mushrooms,pulse corals,shrimps are all fine!
could it be a problem with the water in some way?

Water is a possibility, nitrates could be to blame there, although it could be something else live stock wise thats causing it to stay closed, what are you keeping in there? also whats your water parameters?

A perfect example of shedding. Should be fine in a few days.

Occasionally similar species can shed "in synch" but I cannot explain why. Perhaps a chemical signal?
