Tropicoll
Fish Fanatic
Hey everybody!
Having registered on here over two years ago to get help with cycling my tank, I lost the location of the forum. I ran the tank beautifully for two years and then decided to strip it completely and start again.
In my original cycle thread I had this tank:
I still have this tank, but now with a sand (Argos) substrate, a plain blue background and a Fluval U1 filter. This fish are alive and are in another (35 litre I think) tank with their original filter, bogwood and heater.
I have photos of the tank as it is set up right now and I have started the fishless cycle today with 2.5ml ammonia (easier than trying to measure 2.32 ml!).
A couple of questions though:
1. I have a pitiful 8w Arcadia Classica light (not the blue one above but a natural daylight buld) for the tank. It's pathetic. Bearing in mind that I would like to keep the original lid, can anyone suggest a light that would fit in the lid (max approx 14 inches) to give a better light level for plant growth.
2. Do I need to worry about CO2?
I am sure I'll have more questions soon.
Oh, If anyone's interested, there's a link in my signature to my cycle log on Google Documents.
Collin
