Hi all just found this site. My wife and I are just starting a tank up again. Our last tank we had assorted gold fish. We decided to go tropical this time. We are just getting set up so right now we have 5 Tiger Barbs and 2 Gouramis and one Striped Talking Catfish. The guy at the store threw in the catfish for free but come to find out when he gets bigger he may like to munch on smaller fish. So we don't know what we will do with him yet. We went to a local store to get some small fish to start the tank cycling and the people were not real knowledgeable. We have a really nice store with well informed employees about 30 miles west of here. That is were we will go to get our fish once we get set up and going good. We are also wanting to do live plants so we will be researching that. We have a 55 gallon tank and will probably set up our 20 also.
