Edit: KUDOS to George Farmer for recommending larger partial water changes! However, a good substrate, fast growing plants, and a well managed filter along with routine partial water changes makes all the difference!
Ikr ‘Unpopular’topic cracks me up and I’m only on page 5…then I skip to current page idk 109 lol so that I can stop “like” a 2020 postYep, if you click at the top left "Forums," you'll see the whole forum menu. There is a rather bewildering array, and some definitely see more action than others. When in doubt, I post in "tropical discussion" if it's on topic, and "General chat" if it's off topic. I have a couple of journals going in that section, too.
Not sure, but people seem to avoid live plants in cichlid tanks. I kept a few fakes from the previous owner and they are moved around and laying on their sides now.
