Alrighty people, need to pick your brains.

Looks like I will be getting a "Discus Allowance" early for my birthday. (Birthday isn't until May but hopefully this will be next month or so.

So. My 72 gallon tank. Need your input.
Here is a very quick rough shot as I am running out the door to work and meant to post this last night. But alas I forgot!

Sand substrate, live plants, oodles of driftwood with a couple more pieces that are going to go in.

Current stock - pair of angels, 6 albino cories, harlequins, 1 gbr, kribs, spotted raphael fish.

Angels are getting their own set up as this goes into the works. Might try introducing a young angel once the discus are settled, but that's getting ahead of myself.

Cories, harlequins, raphael - taking out as I am already pushing them temperature limits with them. That leaves the GBR and Kribs - thoughts on keeping either one in the tank?

Also will be looking into adding a school of dwarf neon rainbow fish.

Will be starting off with about 5 discus, this leaves me room to grow if I ever come across a beauty I can't live with out.

An angel will be fine with discus. Pretty sure they live together in the wild. I kept an angel with my discus for years without bother.

Rams will be fine too, in fact, they look amazing alongside discus. Your kribs will not be ok in the long run though, they prefer cooler water. In saying that, I had a pair of kribs s in my discus tank for a while and they were ok(ish).

Not sure about rainbows at all to be honest.

just spend a good hour catching the kribs, harlequins and raphael. Just going to bring them to an LFS.

I was concerned as my angels area spawning pair and would be larger than the discus. I might introduce some of their young ones down the line once the discus are settled.

For the cories, I am going to try keeping them as they have been at 82*F for a while now and seem to be doing just fine. The little buggers are racing around the tank right now as I have stirred up the sand while catching the other fish.
