Hi all, i already did fresh water dips in RO with ph buffer, black spots came off and came back again after the second dip a 3 days later the parasite is back on tang.

What do you guys recommend cand do copper treatment have corals.

I was thinking raising temp to 30" to speed up parasite cycle and then hoe that it wont get to host. Or lower solinity?

Any help would be appriciated.

Cheers,
Serg

I guess you mean paravortex? If your dips havnt worked try to set up a small tank (store all box works great!) and medicate that, and add fish. Keep feeding to what's needed and do daily W/C, if you use a filter in your main tank then use some of the media in your hospital tank but obviously don't put it back lol.

Tangs are very weak against these kinds of parasite but if it's a healthy, unstressed fish it will recover pretty fast.

:( sad times! Sorry to hear that mate. I too struggle without a hospital tank! The only thing I can say is lowering the saltanity and fresh dips worked pretty well for me but will never cure it! I found with White spot, a cleaner goby works wonders! But not sure with this one, maybe someone can help?? If it's a parasite then it prob will work.
