Yay They Have Arrived!

My 4 girlies from shell have just arrived! Yay, they are still acclimatising at the moment, so here are the pics from the website

they all seem lively in their bags

Just want to say a BIG to shell and netty for renewing my faith in fish through the post after my doa with steve (fish from modaz are fantastic too, but as he's so close i always go and collect them in person! )

these sellers pack the boxes out well, and fish from both of them arrived warm, active and happy. and they were well marked as being fragile and to handle with care.

i always get sooo nervous before they arrive, and they have all been great

by the way, for those who don't know, these are the fish i had from netty/bronzecat a few weeks back

i'm starting to wonder if "she" (no 3) is a he. its been flaring lots and seems to have quite a bit of beard, but i can't get a good enough look! (still bagged and adding water at moment so no danger yet)

yeah, looks like it does. but he/she squirms about so much its really hard to see properly, let alone get a decent pic!

well i haven't decided what to do with it, if it is a boy, i may be able to shift things round and keep it, but if i do sell it i'm afraid i won't be sending it to the USA, no offence, i just don't want to have it in transit for more than 24hrs max, and i don't know the laws involved either, sorry.

Hmmm she was meant to be part of a pair and she never flared at the males i had close thus my thinking she was a she...If you like Ibble i will refund you for her/it and pay to have her/it sent back.

I'm really sorry if she is a he, as i say i never got any male clues from her/it at all

I found a couple of males flare pics, its hare to tell from your pics but does the beard extend all the way under like these?

Some females do have small beards, i have 3 or so breeders like it but i have bread them so i know they are girls. They look pretty scary and maleish with longish fins...i tell you it really is getting harder to sex the darn things

Awww thanks devon, thats really sweet of you, and i don't blame you for it. like we have all said recently, its getting harder and harder to tell whats a juvi or pk male, and whats a female!
was thinking i will put her/him in a separate tank and condition up for a couple of weeks.
if it eggs up i know its a girl and all is well,
if its a boy, i have a tough decision to make! although i'm feeling quite smitten already
