hi i want to x breed my endlers to see what coulours i get ,one of my black bar endler female has just had fry today to a black bar male, after she had fineshed i keept the female in a large breeding trap and put in my best tiger male endler for a couple of hours ,

what i want to know is do female endlers need a male every time they hav fry to feterlise the next lot of eggs or do they store sperm  for a couple of broods ?

does any one know

Firstly you want to keep you female separate for several months are she can store sperm for that long, once she's stoped getting gravid then add you males you wish to cross with, the better option is to rear the fry separate and once you get several virgin females you then use them for breeding as they have never been with a male.

Also 90% of shop sold endler's are alredy guppy crosses so your never totally sure of that your gonna get.

As for resulting fry it's likely to be a right batch of odds and sods and cant say what they will look like!
