IMO it is better to just give a summary of what is displayed in any links to make your point, cause personally, I find that I lose my link back to the forum if I click on the links.....

I meant I had read the info but didn't have time to analyze it and make a synapse of it to post. It seemed like great advise to me. For I thought there has to be a another way to figure out how much light the plants needs, without expensive equipment. Just going by gallons doesn't make sense to me for there are 20 gallon long and 20 gallon deep tanks.

It is good that you are reading about the hobby. However, if you use the search function, you will find that we have discussed WPG in detail in this section. There are pages of them. Some of these are very in depth discussions on this topic with experts like Tom Barr and George Farmer participating, and current members contributing as well.
