I am just back from a holiday in Russia. The new craze there seems to be to buy a small cube....and when i say cube, i mean something about 5 inches LxBxH, with a fish in it! I saw tetras, mollys and guppys. Some of these cubes went up to about 7", but the popular one was 5".

The 'tank' did not have a heater, filter, or anything else on it.....it was just a fish in a cup basically!

Not to mention my questioning the fact the fish didnt have room to grow, my biggest question was HOW?! No filter, no heater....how were those fish still alive?

they will live........but for a very shortened life span.

As above, + these crazes come and go everywhere.. including UK and US.

Someone I used to work with had a small cube on his desk, everyday he would bring one of his fish from home in and have it in the cube for the day then take it home! Weird!

I know! He's Asian so it must be something they did over there. On the plus side at least he didn't leave it there all the time, and he rotated the fish every day haha
