Would this work for a 29 gallon?

This is my list of stocking that I would like to have:
2 Angelfish
5 dwarf neon rainbows
Apistograma or 2 rams
3 mystery snails
6 Pygmy corydoras
3 kuhli loaches
Would this be ok?

What are the tank dimensions (length x width x height)?

What is the GH (general hardness), KH (carbonate hardness) and pH of your water supply?
This information can usually be obtained from your water supply company's website or by telephoning them. If they can't help you, take a glass full of tap water to the local pet shop and get them to test it for you. Write the results down (in numbers) when they do the tests. And ask them what the results are in (eg: ppm, dGH, or something else).

------------------
Pygmy Cories don't do well with angelfish.

The tank will be too small for the angelfish when they grow up.

The current tank is probably too small for angelfish and dwarf cichlids (Apistogrammas or Rams).

Rainbowfish need water with a GH above 150ppm and a pH above 7.0.
Most of the other fish you mention come from soft water with a GH below 150ppm and a pH below 7.0.

My ph is like 8 or something very high. I have fluval stratum which buffers the ph a little. I have just a regular 29 gallon from petco

A 30 inch long tank is too small for the angels and Apistogrammas or Rams. If you plan on getting a bigger tank later on for the angelfish, then just have the angels for now and when you find them a bigger tank, get a pair of Apistogrammas or a pr of Rams.

Don't bother getting Pygmy Corydoras while there are angelfish in the tank. The angels and rainbows will eat most of the food and the Cories won't do that well.

Khuli loaches hide all the time and you never see them. You can get them if you like but I personally think they are a waste of time due to them hiding all day and only coming out after dark.

Snails will be fine.

At this stage I would say the 2 angelfish, 5 rainbowfish and 3 snails would be fine but that would fill the tank. It won't look full but the 2 angelfish are going to grow and they are the problem in a small tank.

Instead of the rainbows I am going to do 6 rummy nose tetras. And I might skip out on the rams bc of my ph.

Rummynose tetras prefer a pH below 7.0 too. They have the same requirements as rams and angelfish when it comes to water hardness and pH.

The angelfish might appear to be thriving now, but if they are kept in water with lots of minerals, they can end up with minerals building up in their organs and that can eventually kill them or weaken them so they are more prone to other diseases.

It depends on how hard the water actually is. If the GH is 150ppm it will be fine. But if the GH is 300+ppm, it will cause problems.

Ok thanks didn’t know that.

I agree with what Colin has posted. But one issue is the GH, until we have the actual number it is impossible to consider this or that fish. "Hard" water often turns out to be anything but hard. And as Colin noted, this is important for fish. None of us can ever know our fish are "thriving" unless we are providing them with what they require in terms of water, environment, and other fish. The fact that fish may live can be as much surviving as anything better.

Rummynose need a much larger group than six. But they should not be combined with angelfish, and they do need soft-ish water.
