Would This Be Over Stocked?

You really don't read do you? I know perfectly well what a spray bar is and have advised people on using them in bettas tanks long before now, and you can check that.

A planted tank does NOT take longer than a fish only tank, and I clearly stated that it requires one water change a week. So why you've repeated what I said and tried to make out I don't know what I'm talking about is really beyond me .

Using a syphon, you can both remove water and suck up debris all in one go doing two jobs at once. You can't get much easier than that in a planted tank.

I know the causes of algae perfectly well thankyou, and no I do not have great amounts of it in my tanks. Just a little on the glass that is easily removed with a magnetic scraper. Planting heavily to begin with reduces the chances of algae as the plants compete with it for food. So by planting up the betta tank yourfish has lots of safe areas to hide and you will have less problems with algae in a basic low light setup.

As for scientific proof, I need none. Scientists and those who collect and study these fish , and who have gone to the areas where they are found have removed them from the bodies of water I and others have described. This is why in descriptions of betta species and their habitats, ponds, rice paddies, stagnant pools and slow moving streams are all cited as habitats. Plants grow there, the stems of surface blooming plants are under the water where bettas of all species can hide, and leaves are proven the world over to fall into water when a plant overhangs water.

I really couldn't care less for being blocked.
