Still trying to perfect my stocking plan before the cycle is finished. I'm thinking of ordering online from Northants Malawis. Tank 260l - Tap water GH = 250 KH = 11. Current tank conditions whilst cycling PH = 7.9 GH = 214 KH = 7.

DEFINATES:

Yellow Labs x 5/6
BN x 3/4

Preferred others:

Pseudotropheus Acei yellow tail
Cynotilapis afra hara

OR

Pseudotropheu Elongatus

With regards to the latter three, group numbers also suggested please.

Thank you :)

get em all! Neil is a great fish breeder too so you wont be disappointed!he has some great fish and what you see it what you get in the photos unlike another online seller!

Pseudotropheu Elongatus are awesome. Just be careful some types are more aggressive than others and they will def take over a few caves of their own. Might also have some tunneling going on. They are very territorial. I have a pair (but soon to be just one male) pseudotropheus elongatus ornatus in the all male tank i am stocking. Had him in there for a month and he is my fav by far. (thought the female was a diff species at first, my venting skills are not the best). good luck.

You could go for all the species you mentioned just smaller groups of each or you could still go for 3 species with slightly larger groups. All of species will work well together, they will still have their aggressive temperament but that's going to happen as that's how mbuna are. :good:

Great, thanks :) I'm so excited now.

Went out for dinner today and restaurant had lab fry in their tank... everywhere is taunting me now :( lol

This may be the first batch going in:

4 x labs 1"
3 x BN
5 x pseudo elongatus
4 x hara

Will finish stocking when I have more cash after xmas - I've already been spending far too much on my credit card but hoping it'll be worth it in the long run :)

dont get the bn get more malawis! they serve little purpose unless you like them

Haha, I am quite partial to catfish and wanted some syno multi's but they were far too expensive :(

I'll see how I get on with the BN's, had some before and thought they were quite cute - Although your suggestion is quite tempting
