Ok,I've read alot about some of you guys having problems with your bettas heads turning white. The one thing that made me feel a little at ease was the fact that it could just be age.I've had my little guy for about 7 months.
Over the past month or so I've noticed a bit of white under his chin (as much of a chin as a fish can have anyway  ) and it's a little bit down his chest stopping before his 1st set of fins.
It doesn't look fuzzy,it just looks like his scales are a little pale in that area.
It happened so gradually that I can't remember if it was always there or not.So here's my question....How long would it take if this is a fungus for death to kick in? He seems normal & active, forever begging for food when I open the lid to do anything in there, so should I worry? I'll gladly buy him anything he needs if someone has some suggestions.
Thanks~

Most male bettas are at least 6 months old when they are bought (before this age their finnage is not yet fully developed) and they live for a couple of years. The white on your betta could be just coz he's maturing now. I don't think it's a fungus coz I remember my female betta had the same and she lived till she was nearly 3. Keep an eye on it and see if it develops futher. If so, let us know and we'll make some suggestions.

Thanks ~
I think your right and it is just his colors,he seems to be doing fine ;)
