Worried About My Heater.

The heater is a 28watt in just under 2.5 uk gallon. But it seems to want to raise the temperature to about 29-30 C. Is this too warm? I've turned it off while I go out today but I don't know whether to leave it on while I'm out.

I wouldn't worry about the temp going that high to be honest. Can you adjust the temp? Just take it down a notch, some small heaters are not very accurate. I have one that needs ti show about 32 C for the thermometer to show around 29 C - just check the water with 2 different thermometers to be sure of the water temp. Don't turn the heater off, a big drop in water temperature is not good for a fish.

My heater is set to 18c,and this keeps my water at a constant 25c.Heaters are weird
