So I know there is a type of small white worm that is nt uncommon for a crayfish to have and is supposedly not harmful to them (some things I have read say they are even beneficial.) Mine have had some signs of them prettey much since the day I got them. They are both in a tank with 0 fish for the first time now and we have noticed small white worms on the glass and in the water free swimming now. I am uncertain if they are the same worms as those that cling to the cray or if they are somthing else. we have noticed small moths in the house lately and they seem to be hanging out around the aquariums so perhaps it is larvae of some sort for the moths, there is no signs of them in the other tanks (fish may have eaten them).

The crayfish both seem perfectly fine. My concern is from a health and safety standpoint. If these worms are parasites. can they lodge onto a human? Is there a way to get rid of them without hurting the crayfish?( researching myself I have found none) I would post pics but they ar barely the thickness of a hair and only the length of a pencil lead if ya click it out of a mechanical penchil 3 times.

So any advice or knowledge in this general realm would be appreciated. As at this point I will not be changing thier water without gloves till I know more.

Branchiobdellids
is, more than likely, what they are. they are harmless, some say, even beneficial. no information on how to get rid of them. because nobody, really, tries.
