Worms

Just underneath some old tank water, or run them under the tap and wash off all dirt as possible. I wouldnt feed the too often, but only as a treat! :) MAke sure they are small enough for your fish to eat comfortably in one go too! :)

yeah just under running water, and if they are too big you can chop them up.

I had to use worms from my worm farm to get both my eels eating. Now the survivng eel is going strong on bloodworm, brine and the very occasional worm and cockle. :D

i would suggest a little more thorough cleaning process...if you don't strip the worms of excess waste they could dirty the water quick...i run them under tap water for a couple minutes rubbing off dirt...then i start at the "head" and squeeze out all of the poop a couple of times...you'd be amazed at how much comes out of those things...i then normally slice them up with a razor

Your lucky, my peacock eel won't touch anything but earthworms, and you have a worm farm, I should have bought a smaller eel, not a full grown one :X

Running worms under water until they are clean is a good idea, but if there are any pesticides or fertilizers in your yard, don't bother giving those worms to your fish, because you could end up with a bunch of dead fish ;)
All of my fish love earthworms, and they make a great treat :)

get a old fish tank and make your own worm farm.i wash my worms under the tap,but not too clean as my fire eel seems to like a bit of earth

Actually feeding worms really depends on what fish you have. I wouldn't recommend feeding them to some of the African cichlids, especially like the S. Fryeri (commonly called Electric Blue) because they are prone to Malawi bloat if fed too much protein.

We feed the occasional nightcrawler as a treat to our Jack Dempsey. We just rinse it under tap water to remove dirt and put it in the tank. He swallows it whole before there is any chance of it dirtying the tank.

Okay I had originally planned on them being for my frogs :) but I was also going to feed them to my yellow labs. Are they prone to bloating like the electric blue since they are also known as electric yellows?
