I was wondering, if you feed live worms and some "get away," what happens?

Its harmless. It eats debris. Just do extra gravel vacuuming and they'll die off

Do not over clean you tank or you could affect your good bacteria and lose you cycle. I agree with @JuiceBox52 just do a good vacuuming.

it's just an aquatic worm, leave it alone.

I found a couple more in my shrimp tank the other day. I have just let them be. More add on to my clean up crew

Well to quell the hubub...
The tank in question is now clear of fish, thanks to general circumstances.
Time to clean anyway.
