when i wake up in the morning, i grab a coffee and sit in front of my tank to check my fish and to basically wake up.
this morning was no different except my plants were all floating around i noticed a zebra danio floating at the surface
. no odd spots, colors etc, looked fine apart from i think something nibbled part of its tail whilst dead.
i immediately checked my water and its fine. small amount of nitrate but everything else is perfect. nether the less i did a 50% water change and all is well. temp is as it always is, 79f.
now im sure my water didnt kill the danio but i suspect what happened between my plecos might have. they must have had a jolly old time in there to up root my plants and totally change the appearance of the sand.lol
any idea of cause of death?
