I'm being overrun by wisteria. Seemed like a nice plant until I started dosing ferts and adding CO2. Should I give up on it? I thought duckweed grew fast, but this stuff is incredible. I'm debating whether I should pull it all out of my tanks.

It is nice looking, but it's been weeks since I've seen my fish. Do any serious plant-keepers grow wisteria?

Urgh, I hate seeing people post stuff like this :( None of my plants grow out of control. Anyway, if you don't mind the trimming etc. then keep it or replace it with a slower grower? Give away/swap/sell the wisteria every so often? Or chuck it in with plant eating fish if you have any? Put it in a different tank if you have one?

Usually you can try to sell or swap it. Otherwise just cut the top off and chuck to the top.

It took me a long long time to get to this point, but now it's going mad. I've spread it out to all my tanks. I'm thinking maybe I could mulch it into bio-deisel and make some money :)

Here's what did it for me:
I have >2.5wpg in the tanks
I built a custom co2 reactor that goes on the output of my xp2 filters
I'm using DIY co2 with 2 canisters per tank. I change one each week.
I used the flourish root tabs
but it went really nuts when I started adding the seachem potassium and flourish every other day.

I'm switching from root tabs to the greg watson pmdd premix stuff. I can imagine that will only compound the problem because apparently the root tabs aren't that great.

Good luck and hang in there. Took me almost a year to find the groove with my plants.
