Window Tints?

Just had a thought, my tank get sunlight from a window on the end and has caused green water. Moving the tank is not a option due to its size and room layout. So i have sent the mrs out for new curtains as the old ones are single lined and let lots of light in. Was also think of putting car tints just on the ends of the tank and we dont see them we view the tank head on. Not fussed on backing on the sides as will look untidy thoughts?

I have my moments, just make sure you take your time to cot and measure and they should look decent enough
