I picked up a really filthy tank at a bootfair a few weeks ago, for only £3. It's not huge, but I guessed I'd find some use for it. Anyway, I was planning to soak it in diluted milton for a while, and then give it a blast with the pressure washer to rinse it.
Anyway, I came in from work the other morning, and it was sitting there looking all shiny and sparkly. I was delighted, until ever helpful b/f said he'd used washing up liquid and windolene to clean it with
Inside and out.
I can't even use the pressure washer on it now, as he's silicone'd the filter back into place.
How in the name of all thats holy can I make sure this is going to be safe for future inhabitants? Or should I just forget it, it's only 3 quid after all. i really don't want to poison anyone
