you guy do know that how big rainbows usually get, right? about 5 inches. 6 is a maximum. Beetween 4.5 and 5 is an average.

Ok the first time I googled this fish it said 55 gallon. But when I googled it again I couldnt find the same site I looked at before. The ones I found this time it looks like this will be fine. It also will depend on what species of rainbow fish you want to how many you can have have. But if you want just one then you should be fine.

Just read your post again and I see why I couldnt find the same site. At first you said rainbow shark which yes your correct will grow to be 6 inchs but they can be pretty agressive and need a 55 gallon tank. Later you said rainbow fish which is something completly different. So which is it a rainbow shark or a rainbow fish?

Bro I already told you 55 gallon tank it doesnt matter how many times you list your stock its not going to change a rainbow shark needs a 55 gallon.

they don't need a 55 gallon. Do you have any experience with them? Rainbows are less aggressive than red tails. and rainbows dont usually get 6 inches. usually around 4.5 or 5. just because you do a 5 minuet research on google and like 3 sites say they can be kept in 55 gallon+ does not mean that it is true. the majority of the sites say 29 gallon min. even if its a really trusted site, i'v found MAJOR problems. like putting a freaking Oscar in a 45 gallon. Point being, they are fine in a 30 gallon tank.

Why are you asking for our input then? And yes I have owned them and yes I do have experince with them.Can they live in a 30 yes will it be happy no.
