Will This Be Okay

could i put a male and female betta in the same 55 gallon with 3 neon tetras 2 sharpea tetras 2 catfish lots of friendly guppies and endlers and 8 to 10 friendly platies or would this be a bad idea
P.S. i have a glass brick type tank for bettas but its tiny i dont want to use it if i dont have to
P.P.S. i also have 2 breeder boxes. i could put 1 betta in 1 and the other 1 in 1 and see how everyone behaves

Bettas are called Siamese FIGHTING fish. The clue is in the name.

Um, I think it'd be best if you don't overstock it in the first place, not just wait to get rid of it later....

ive heard of a lot of people who have had bettas together male and female and they werent trying to breed them i also heard of people who had them with a community tank with gupps

Um, I think it'd be best if you don't overstock it in the first place, not just wait to get rid of it later....

i love to look at the babies how they end up looking and the only place that will take my fish is not that close plus im 13 so i cant drive my self and parents dont like to take me ALL the way across town to get 50cents a fish

It's unusual for an lfs to buy them.... Credit maybe. Also non of those fish are ugly. That's a comment I'm strongly opposed to. Infact all your fish have been inbred over and over in order to get large batches of very pretty fish. They're designed to be pretty.
