I have a 30gallons fish tank and I was thinking about getting 2 honey gouramis, a rainbow shark and an ADF. I'm escaping the tank so that it has lots of hiding places and an area where its shallow for the ADF to chill on. I was wondering if I could feed them small live fish or maybe frozen shrimp, but I am not sure if those type of fish are predatory, or if they would even eat the fish.

By “ADF”, I assume you mean “African Dwarf Frogs”? If so, I don’t suggest keeping the frogs with fish. Aquatic frogs and fish don’t mix, especially if you plan on feeding the frogs live fish. That could lead to bad habits down the road.

I already have the ADF in a different fish tank along with some mollies and platys for a few months now and it seems to be alright in there but I'm moving it because I'm going to take that tank apart because I'm thinking on change the escape.

I’m just telling you it’s generally not recommended to keep ADF’s and fish together.

In answer to your question, no, they won’t eat live food. They have terrible eye sight, which means they have to find their food. They also aren’t fast enough to catch a live fish.

I see, so should I move the adf to a tank of its own?
