Will My Fish Grow?

Hiya,

I currently have a 30g tank with some tetras, corydoras and shrimp. I wanted to transfer them to my 140g. I was told that if I do, they will not grow any bigger? Is this true? BTW, the cories and tetras have been in that tank for years. The shrimp for 1 year.

in my experience when ive moved fish to larger tanks they have actually grown a lot more and faster

I was hoping to hear that! I didn't want to move them over if they were going to remain teeny. Thanks

i am thinking since you have had them for years already they should be fully grown?

Well, they have grown to 30g tank capacity but they are by no means as big as they could get in a big tank. Just wondered if they "stunt" or not?

asuming there aren't overly loads of them in the 30Gal they shouldn't be stunted and as i said should be fully grown
