Will my blue gourami give up?

He keeps making bubble nests to breed but they keep getting destroyed.
1. Do they get discouraged and stop trying and 2. Can the female bump it and cause damage to the nest?

Your blue gourami won't give up if his bubble nest is broken

But if your trying to breed them, remember not to do a water change when the bubble nest is built, and the fish are conditioned, or you will break it and have to start the process again.
