I had one until may 23 of this year (sold him). I have noticed that when he got scared or nervous he made a boom/banjo noise-very cool in my opinion because I thought fish were silent until then.
and basically that is it about them...peaceful except with fish they can swallow and mostly nocturnal... they do appreciate frozen food.

If i cant catch them with a net, how do i then?

why do you need to catch them.....

you can catch them with a net but it's best not to lift them out the water in a net as thats when there most likely to dig there spines in, put a bag or tub under the water for them to swim into from the net.
